Marci Nemhauser Sierck is a graduate of Pace University in New York where she studied Psychology. Upon completing her studies, Marci switched coasts and began her career in the staffing industry in 1996, and worked for several of the leading recruiting firms in the Bay Area, including Bradford Staff in San Francisco. She recruited for many business disciplines, but was most attracted to the fast, competitive, intense environment of high technology.
Demand was high for technology personnel, and Marci worked on extended contracts with companies like Inktomi Corporation, a software company, and TheraSense, Inc, a medical device company. Her primary focus during these years was building engineering teams for Search Engines, Commerce, Network Products, Streaming Media, Hardware Engineering teams, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing. At various times she also assisted with recruiting Legal, Finance and Human Resources positions.
Having developed an extensive network of corporate officers, managers, and technical professionals, Marci was being asked by many for assistance. Consequently she founded The Marlen Group in 2003 to provide strategic staffing support at all levels for emerging technology companies.
Marci served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Women in Computing for both the San Francisco and National chapters in 2003 and 2004. She also dedicated some time to helping organizations like The Association for Strategic Alliance Professionals in 2003/2004 seasons as well as Girls for a Change in 2005/6.
To help remain centered with such a hectic life, Marci is devoted to daily exercise which includes running and yoga; she completed her first marathon in 2002. In 2007 she married her amazing husband who supports her in her business and in life.
